The Edo state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih has urged PDP leaders in Owan Federal Constituency to commence ward and local government campaigns, ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Orbih expressed his disappointment at the APC-led government by President Muhammadu Buhari, who he noted has failed to deliver the promises he made to Edo people and Nigerians in 2015.
While urging the people to defend their votes during and after casting their votes, Orbih said, “this election is not about PDP or APC, it is about Nigerians calling for a change, so as to have the good things of life.
“I have been in several areas in the state and there is nothing to show that we have had a government that provide basis needs for the people for the past nine to ten years APC had been in government in Edo state.
What does Orbih ask of members of his party?
“So, let us take seriously the challenge before us, so that, as we prepare for the elections, we must defend the interest of PDP, not only where you vote, also where results will be collated.
“It is now left for the PDP leaders to take the campaigns to the local government, unit by unit and ward by ward because we need total grassroots mobilization to ensure victory for our party,” said Orbih.
Orbih drums support for Atiku
He also told the people to campaign for the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, saying that only PDP can solve the hunger that Nigerians are suffering now.
“There is poverty in our land, there is insecurity, our people can no longer go to their farms because of the killing by Fulani herdsmen and we must put an end to this wanton killings”.

Also speaking at the rally, Hon. Abubakar Momoh, the PDP Senatorial Candidate for Edo North told PDP loyalists not to vote for APC again to avoid worsening the poverty level in the state and Nigeria.
Hon Abubakar Momoh also begged PDP members in Owan to vote Atiku Abubakar as president and other PDP candidates running for position at the Federal and the state house of assembly.
