A member of the House of Representatives, Nasiru Sule-Garo, has defeated his younger brother Faruk Sule-Garo to emerge the PDP candidate representing Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency, Kano State in the House of Representatives.
Sule-Garo polled a total of 173 votes as against Faruk who got just 12 votes.
While announcing the results, the returning officer, Salisu Muhammadu Tudunkaya noted that 198 accredited delegates participated in the voting and 13 votes were declared invalid of the total votes cast.
Nasiru Sule-Garo who is an elder brother to the wife of Rabiu Kwankwaso was elected to the house of representatives in 2007 on the platform of People’s Democratic Party. He was also re-elected in 2011 on the platform of the same party.
