The All Progressives Congress, APC has postponed its Governorship primaries in Osun State.

The Primary Election Committee of the party had fixed the date of the primaries for Thursday, July 19th, 2018. In a recent announcement made by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, the date of the primaries was confirmed to have been shifted to Friday, the 20th of July.

“A meeting between the Primary Election Committee chaired by H.E. Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, Governor of Zamafara State and stakeholders will hold at the Osun State capital, Oshogbo on Thursday.”

More than ten aspirants from the APC have indicated interest in the Governorship seat of the state, ahead of the elections scheduled for September 2018.

National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole had announced that direct primaries would be conducted in the state, in a move which will see card carrying members of the party voting for aspirants of their choice.
