Aisha Alhassan, Minister of Women Affairs has resigned from her position after her disqualification from the Taraba APC Governorship race.
The former Taraba State Attorney General also withdrew her membership from the APC.
Alhassan was appointed Minister in 2015 and has been a member of the APC. The former lawmaker said the party didn’t state the reason for her disqualification.
She appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for giving her the opportunity to serve in his administration in letters sent to the party and the President.
APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole had revealed that anti-party activities by Maman Taraba as she’s fondly called were the reasons for the party’s disqualification of Alhassan.
