Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources in Lagos state, Oluwo Olawale Wasiu, has resigned from the government of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and defected to the People’s Democratic Party(PDP)
When did he resign?
Wasiu resigned from office as commissioner on Tuesday. Also in a letter dated Dec 5, 2018 and addressed to the Chairman of APC in lagos, he revealed his decision to leave the APC.
Olawale Wasiu’s reasons for defecting from APC
Olowu cited displeasure at the conduct of the governorship primaries in October 2018 as his reason for dumping APC. According to him the elections were marred by massive voters disenfranchisement, intimidation and violence.

Which party is he defecting to?
Aledeh can confirm that Olowu has decided to defect to the People’s Democratic Party(PDP). According to the former commissioner, he will be working with the PDP candidate, Jimi Agbaje in the latter’s bid to become Governor of Lagos state.
