President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, September 14th, 2018 accepted the resignation of Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun(Mrs).
Adeosun, who had been embroiled in a certificate saga for some time now, resigned earlier on Friday with doubts still hanging on the veracity of her resignation.
Political Stew had carried the report and stuck to it, despite wide claims that the news was fake, at the behest of an initial silence from the Presidency.
To quell the doubts and confirm Political Stew’s report earlier, the Presidency has announced the acceptance of Adeosun’s letter, thanking her for her meritorious efforts towards placing Nigeria’s economy on the right track.
The President appreciated the Minister for her services to the nation and wished her well in her future pursuits.
The President has also approved that the Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, should oversee the Ministry of Finance with effect from today.
