The two chambers of the National Assembly have adjourned Plenary on Tuesday as a result of the death of Kwara State lawmaker, Funke Adedoyin.

The Senate are to reconvene in Wednesday while the House of Representatives is billed to reconvene on Thursday.

A deify in gave up the ghost in Abuja on September 28 after fighting with cancer. She was aged 56.

Until her unfortunate demise, she represented Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-ero federal constituency of Kwara state in the house.

Adedoyin had held a ministerial position as the Minister of youth development and later Minister of State for Health.

She was one of the lawmakers who cross-carpeted to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in July.

The two chambers had a one-minute silence as a form of respect to the late lawmaker before Senate President, Bukola Saraki read out a letter from the President Buhari.
