Ngige’s own goal! the error of “Balaam”, the blessing of Jacob…….the answer to Pastor Adeboye’s prayer?

You have been a governor who knows when to say enough is enough in defence of his people. And I ’ m sure you know what I ’m talking about and I am sure the world knows. I don ’ t want to say more than that. But be assured that we are praying for you and you will succeed in Jesus name . Punch

Those were the December 2016 words of Pastor Adeboye, whose respected views, could stir up deep religious interpretations, in the deeply religious Nigerian society, especially when Ngige’s blunder is factored in.

Ngige, Buhari’s minister had said in error:

“…Ekiti people won’t make the mistake they made in 2014…“If you marry two wives, you go know which one wey better. Fayose is the better wife.“E dey cook, E de give husband food, E no de give am trouble.“You must bring back Fayose on Saturday…” Chief Chris Ngige, Honourable Minister of Labour. Punch

Would that verbal error have spiritual consequences, considering Jephthah’s vow, with Proverbs 18:21 in view?

JEPTHTHAH’S VOW.

And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,”Judges 11:30 KJV.

Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”Judges 11:31 KJV.

And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.”Judges 11:34 KJV.

And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the Lord , and I cannot go back.”Judges 11:35 KJV.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”Proverbs 18:21 KJV.

OGHENEKARO ETEBO’S OWN GOAL, NGIGE’S REHEARSAL?

Oghenekaro Etebo’s own goal in Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Croatia was a rude shock, it has turned out to be Chris Ngige’s rehearsal, those very words, came as a shocking own goal.

Helen Summers, in her July 1, 2018 account of own goals, provided an insight to Chris Ngige’s 8 own goal mentors (as at Tuesday, July 10) of the 2018 world cup, under the title:

How many own goals have been scored at the World Cup 2018 and what is the record?TheSun

That strategic blunder captured by Channels live was carefully removed from their midnight news, as Fayose got his biggest ever endorsement in his entire political career, an endorsement by the rival APC.

NGIGE AS BIBLICAL BALAAM?

“And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.”Numbers 23:11 KJV.

NGIGE AS BIBLICAL ISAAC?

“And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?”Genesis 27:37 KJV.

Was it a graphic replay of the accounts in Genesis and Numbers? Chris Ngige got to the podium and he acted out the script of Balaam, in the full view and hearing of President Buhari and other top shots of the ruling APC.  Will his endorsement of Fayose in error for a third term, (he never sought) have an effect on Saturday’s elections?

Does Chris Ngige’s blunder of Baalam have a spiritual undertone of Balaam?
